Deedle Time, Lloyd's music and movement class featuring the music of the Deedle Deedle Dees, will start up in Park Slope on Thursday, January 7th, and in Ditmas Park the following week on Monday, January 11th. See schedule to the right for the specific class dates at each venue.

Sliding Scale

A lot of people have asked about this so I just wanted to clarify:

All session and drop-in rates for Deedle Time, the music and movement class taught by Lloyd Miller (Ulysses S. Dee), work on a sliding scale. If the cost of the class is too much, just pay what you can. Don't even ask us if the amount is okay. Just put it in an envelope and give it to us. We want you and your kids with us in class.

Park Slope Singalong Now on Tuesdays at 10

One more change to our schedule for the singalongs at the Tea Lounge on Union Street in Park Slope: We will be singing together every Tuesday at 10am for the rest of the year.

As many of you know, I play a number of public school concerts and do in-class songwriting workshops throughout the year. In order to fulfill my commitments to these activities, I decided to move the singalong to Tuesday to avoid future cancellations and disruptions.

So hopefully I'll see you this Tuesday or another soon! 10am at the Tea Lounge, Union Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues.

Park Slope singalong update

My Wednesday singalong at the Union Street Tea Lounge in Park Slope is going to move to 10am starting next week (10/21). In addition, there will be a $3 per family fee for the event.

We made these changes so that the singalongs can continue at the Tea Lounge. Let me know what you think about the new time, the fee, etc. We're going to see how it goes and reassess in a couple of weeks. Don't worry -- the singalongs will go on.

Keep checking this site for the latest updates on times, locations. You can always also write me directly if you have questions:

Park Slope singalong at 10am Thursday, Oct 14

Hi everyone,
We're going to try having the Tea Lounge singalong at 10am tomorrow (10/14).

The Tea Lounge doesn't want us to do the event at 11 anymore -- I think it's getting too big and they're upset that very few people buy any food or drink.

I definitely want to keep the singalong going. Here are some ideas that I and some other people have suggested (let me know if you have more):

- We might permanently change the time to 10 (if this seems to work)
- We might change the venue (Any ideas for a new singalong location that can handle the huge crowd? In winter, as you probably know, these crowds get even bigger).
- The Tea Lounge might start asking for a $5 admission per family.

Fall Class Schedule

Hi everyone!
Welcome to our new class and singalong page where you can find up-to-date schedules, free song downloads, class re-caps, and activities to continue our in-class explorations at home.

This fall, I'll be teaching a new class called Deedle Time for kids six months to 4 years and their caregivers. It's a music and movement class but it's also much more. Kids will learn about the world around them via original and traditional songs, hands-on explorations, picture books, puppets, and all kinds of cool stuff. It's kind of like preschool for the pre-preschool set. Try it out!

On Mondays, I'll lead two sessions of Deedle Time at Midwood Martial Arts in Midwood Brooklyn (right near the border of Ditmas Park). Come to one of our free trial classes on Monday, September 14th (times below). An 8-week fall session begins the following week on September 21st.

On Thursdays, join us for Deedle Time at the Brooklyn Learning Center in Park Slope. Free trial classes will be offered on Thursday, September 17th, and the 8-week session will begin on September 24th.
