Lost black leather purse at Knitting Factory sing-a-long -- will you return?

Hey --
If you or your babysitter mistakenly took a small black leather purse with metal studs on it from the Knitting Factory sing-a-long today (Sept 26th) would you contact me? I'll come get it and bring it back to the owner.

Sing-a-longs will continue all summer

I won't be hosting any of them (except in a rare surprise appearance) but my summer subs are simply super.

I'll return to all my regular weekly sings after Labor Day. In my absence here's who you might get to sing with:

Chris Johnson (AKA Booker Dee)
My fellow Deedle Deedle Dee, a Red Hook Rambler, the best musician on Earth or in space. Enjoy.

Tim Kiah
Bassist for Astrograss and Sotto Voce. The man Roy Nathanson calls when he needs a harmony. Yeah.

Andrew Vladeck
Just found out today that this dude, a guy whose grown-up music I've dug for years, is going to do some sing-a-longs. So awesome. www.andrewvladeck.com

And I'll add to this list...

New Year's Eve Family Sing-a-long & Jam

At 11am on Dec. 31st, I'm hosting a New Year's Eve Family Sing-a-Long & Jam at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. Bring your voices and your instruments. I'll bring chord changes so parents and bigger kids can play along on their guitars, ukes, accordions, etc. And everyone is invited to sing along as we ring in the New Year a little early (we'll be counting down to noon). bk.knittingfactory.com

$5 a family.

Bring cookies and other treats to share.

And, yes, I will be back at all my sing-a-longs this week starting tomorrow, Tuesday, December 27th. Thanks, Ari and Deidre, for filling in!

Holiday sing-a-long schedule

A lot of people have been asking me if any sing-a-longs will be canceled or rescheduled over the next few weeks.

The answer is no. All my sing-a-longs will continue on their regular schedule through the end of the December and the first week of January. For a few of them, one of my fabulous subs -- Ari Brand or Deidre Rodman-Struck (of the Itty Biddies) -- will fill in. Otherwise I will be there. I hate missing sing-a-longs.
