Collecting for kids in Red Hook at all this week's sing-a-longs

Hey -- if you come to one of my sing-a-longs this week, you can donate to give gifts to kids in need in Red Hook. Anything helps but below are some suggestions from Red Hook Initiative. They'd like the stuff ideally by TOMORROW, Dec 19th at 4pm so if you can bring stuff -- or gift cards -- to my sing-a-long at the Knit in Williamsburg that would be perfect. No sing-a-long with Ari at the Knitting Factory today, Friday, November 23rd. Sorry! They're very bad about letting us know in advance when they can't open the doors.


Next Wednesday and Friday (Nov 28 and 30) are on as usual.

Thanksgiving week sing-a-long schedule

I'll be doing my sing-a-longs at Two Moon in Park Slope and the Knitting Factory in Williamsburg as usual. The only sing that's not happening is the Thursday Dean Street one -- that's Thanksgiving Day, of course, and the restaurant will be closed.

Tuesday, Nov 20th, 10am -- sing-a-long at Two Moon in Park Slope - ON

Wednesday, Nov 21st, 11am - sing-a-long at the Knitting Factory in Williamsburg - ON

Thursday, Nov 22nd, 10:30am - sing-a-long at Dean Street Restaurant in Prospect Heights - OFF due to Thanksgiving holiday -- I'll be back at Dean Street next week on Thursday, Nov 29.

Thursday and Friday sing-a-long updates

Thursday at Dean Street Restaurant is on. We're going to do the regular sing at 10:30 then another at 11:15 to accommodate older siblings etc who might want to come as a a result of the school closings. Bring the family.

Friday's sing at Play Kids in Lefferts Gardens (10 am) will happen as usual. I'll sub for Chris (who lives in Lower Manhattan and still doesn't have power).

Friday's sing-a-long with Ari Brand at the Knitting Factory (11am) unfortunately has to be canceled because there won't be anyone to let us in.

Thanks to everybody who came out to our impromptu sing-a-longs at Midwood Martial Arts and Lark Cafe. And apologies to everybody who didn't get the word about today's Knitting Factory cancellation. I was posting via my phone, etc., responding to parent and babysitter texts + tweeting and Facebooking all morning but I'm sure not everyone got the message.

Sing-a-long storm plans

Here's my tentative plan:

Tuesday at 10 at Two Moon - canceled
Now that subways and schools are officially shut down for Tuesday I think it's best if I call this one now.

Wednesday at 11 at the Knitting Factory
I'm planning on doing this one. But check this page to find out for sure. If nothing is posted it means I don't have internet service. If I don't have internet, the sing-a-long won't be happening.
